The Band-Aid Ring
I am obsessed with this ring by Michelle Lopez. It is quirky and a little dark, just like I like my jewelry. Michelle, a sculptor based out of Brooklyn, sights her inspiration for the piece as a commemoration of human injuries. By making something so easily discarded as the band aid out of such a substantial material, it is a reminder of the fragility of human life, as well as the impact our actions have on ourselves and the world around us.
